Special Care for Newborns (NICU)

This section is located on the third floor and is also connected to the delivery block for newborn handover. Services provided in this section include bed rest for premature infants, surfactant injection, blood transfusion, newborn sampling, neonatal gastric lavage, LP, umbilical catheter placement by a doctor, and connecting premature infants to a ventilator. The NICU consists of a lactation room, a newborn section, an isolation room, a staff rest room, a mother's rest room, a women's locker room, and a storage room. With the use of up-to-date equipment such as incubators, portable incubators, monitors, syringe pumps, phototherapy lights, portable phototherapy lights, resuscitation beds, and warmers, this section is able to provide timely and important services to newborns.
